Project 5: Sense Of Place: Neighbourhood and Community

This is a unforgettable project.

It let me to stay up almost 3 or 4 nights to finish it.

Finally I feel what called HBP life. 'Hantu Balik Pagi'=HBP

And suddenly I feel that how small is the A3 size cartridge paper.

We need to observe, think, sketch, colour, write and render in once.

This is new challenge for us.

But,

I still learned a lot from this project.

Now, I know that how to draw a site plan, location plan, key plan.

I know that how to use a tracing paper.

I know that the elements and components of a neighbourhood planning.

You will feel that impossible you can finish it when you done it.

This is amazing.

Project 4: Presentation Drawings

We had 2 weeks to complete our project 4. It was because of the 5 days holiday.
Therefore we have no need to rush for doing this project.
We have learned how to draw the axonometric drawing and  perspective drawing.
I just know that what is axonometric and perspective this time.
I have learned a lot knowledges about the drawing from this project.

Project3b: Objects Connection: A ComforTABLE Chair

This was the first project in group. 3 person in one group. My group mates were yenling and mingheng. We are from quantity surveying. We needed to produce a wooden L-shape seating object that combines a table and chair(s). The theme of this L-shape seating is 'UNITY'. Among our L-shape seating will choose one to built near the HBP pond-waterfall.

This is our first product for the whole L-shape seating. The beach chair. 

 

We combined two beach chairs together by attached a small table between them.

This is another side of the L-shape seating. This is Japanese style long chair to bring the feeling of Zen.

 That is our final product. The name is Le' Zenzii.

 

Project 3a: Object Creation: A Free-Form Sculpture

Project 3a needed to complete it before Pimpi Siswa. So, we had 4 days only to finish it. It was a challenge for all of us.Finally, we did it!

The theme of sculpture is 'harmony'. The sculpture can be made from any materials.

That's my sculpture

My concept is natural. My sculpture is represented by a tree and some books in the middle. The materials I used are cardboard and newspapers only. It was simple and easy to make it. Why I chosen the recycled materials? It is because I want to bring out the message is culture of reading and the important of tree. 

                                                

Project 2: Natural & Man-made structures

The new task I should be done 

and I done it.

Project 2 also including 2a and 2b. 2a is natural structure and 2b is man-made structure.

The purpose of  this project is to enhance students' understanding of basic elements and principles of design through observation of existing natural and man-made structures. And also to nourish students' skills in creative thinking, observation, sketching, colouring......

2a: Natural structure

I need to find a natural structural around USM main campus and to produce it in black and white sketch. The sketch should include the elements of light and shadow.

This is a lonely tree I found nearby the school of HBP. I got a feeling from it and I chosen it.

 2b: Man-made structure

I need to find a man-made structure around USM main campus also and produce a coloured drawing.

This is a photo I took in front of the desasiswa cahaya gemilang. A small staircase with some bushes.

Project 1: Me, Myself and I

'Me, Myself and I' is the first project I got in my studio class. 

It is including 1a:Stewardship & 1b:Personal Logo. 

The 1a project need to sketch our own face in black and white.

After helping from my friend.

The final product with descriptions ( personal background, how you see yourself in 5 years later, what can you contribute for the betterment of the built environment).

The 1b project need to create a personal logo that best reflects our personality and strengths.

My logo is represented by a clover leaf. The meaning of clover leaf is HaPPiness. Life goes on with full of  happiness together with my family and friends.

Studio Life

I never think that the drawing pencil will hold in my hand one day.

I never think that I will belong a sketchbook even use a cartridge paper.

Now, 

I am not buying any pen or notebook when I go to a stationary shop. 

What I was buy are 8B to 6H drawing pencils, different drawing pencils, cartridge papers, mounting boards, and ...
